Grateful

Perfect end to an amazingly blessed year.

Bidding goodbye to 2012 in a few hours! I am so incredibly grateful for the year that's been. So many good things has happened and I just feel pretty blessed. This year was the year I got to live some of my dreams. I became a radio show host, wrote for a weekly publication, did a drama paper which I absolutely loved, worked alongside some pretty talented NZ artists (most of them are playing at RnV!), transformed my room into something I've always wanted, kept my job, dressed how I wanted, fell in love, crossed of the bucket list and met legends like Incubus, Russell Brand, and Morrissey, grew closer to my family, and spent the year with amazing people! Just.. wow. Thank you for being a part of my year. Here's to defying gravity in 2013 :)

Rebel Without a Cause

Today I wore my favourite floral crown, ate chocolates that Santa gave me, washed the clothes I got from my latest thrifting trip, and hung out with James Dean.

Tonight I will cook a roast dinner, attempt to clean my room, watch The X Factor, and have a bubble bath.

Morrissey

There's a club if you'd like to go. You can meet somebody who really loves you. So you go and you stand on your own, you leave on your own, you go home, you cry and you want to die. I am human and I need to be loved just like everybody else does.

This is the guy who started it all. If you have watched 500 Days of Summer, then you know what I'm talking about! The father of indie, if you must. I have met Morrissey. Nothing else matters.

His concert was amazing as expected even though he didn't do 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out'.  The crowd was good and it just felt like I belonged! The whole Saturday was pretty stellar to be honest all thanks to the bestie!

As soon as the opening chords to "How Soon Is Now" was played, I found myself in tears. I looked up and Morrissey was standing right in front of me, the lights directly above him. He looked like God. I wept some more. It was absolutely perfect.

P.S.

This year I have met so many amazing legends like Morrissey and Russell Brand (more on that later), shared the stage with some top acts, and got to work with the coolest musicians like Kimbra, Mt. Eden, Ruby Frost, The Black Seeds, not to mention the DJs I regularly support. WOW.

Mint days and floral dreams

Bought Christmas presents for myself because I'm a self-sufficient independent Asian woman who don't need no man! Lol okay, but seriously though. How can you not fall in love with these shoes? Mint coloured boots are from Dr. Martens and the floral velvet creepers are from Topshop. The fact that I got them brand new secondhand (if that even makes sense) is such a bonus!

Also picked up the skull candle holder and round sunnies over the weekend. But the biggest highlight of it was meeting Morrissey! More on that soon. Photos from last weekend are up on my Instagram if you want to see x

CRATEive

Got pretty CRATEive last weekend. With the cool kids  had a clothes sale complete with cake pops, flowers, and music. So much fun under the sun! Ruby&Boyd is our little label that we are hoping to further develop in the coming months so fingers crossed it works out well.

P.S. How gorgeous is my niece in her tulle skirt and mint jacket? Also Jacob was such a big help for us, holding the sign and all! Love x

LBWD.

Hi, I'm Jess. I have a lot of blogs but I may have found "the one" in this. I like fancy lingerie, floral crowns, cute teacups, pastel hair, silky sheets, and taking self-portraits when bored.

Tumblr was down today and I had two choices. I could either go out and be social or take photos and listen to music alone. I picked the latter. Hype if you like!

Here's to infinity and beyond x
